JA福岡市は2011年12月6日、オープンソースのオフィスソフトであるLibreOfficeを導入したことを明らかにした。JA福岡市では約400台のパソコンを使用している。そのうち7割でMicrosoft Office（MS Office）を今後新たに購入しないことで、約840万円のコスト削減を見込んでいる。JAでオープンソースのオフィスソフトを導入した事例は全国初と見られる。
